stormy weather
The last two days on Oahu were pretty cloudy, with showers on and off throughout the day. This made for some rough water (great!) but pretty grey skies during the day (not great...) That didn't stop me from trying/hoping for some solid sunsets and "seascape" photos. All the photos below were taken at Turtle Bay Resort which I can't recommend enough!
Some of you might remember Turtle Bay Resort from the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and if you watch Cougar Town they were filming an episode at the resort while we were there. There was also a couple of scenes from the show LOST filmed here! Turtle Bay was great and a perfect way to end our vacation... it also doesn't hurt that we were also upgraded to a beach cottage!
-added another photo from the luau because I just couldn't leave it off the site. I had a tough time when posting the first one trying to decide which one of the two I should actually post. Which one do you like better?
Some more Hawaii
Just a quick warning that you should expect a new post every day for the next week and for that post to be filled with palm trees (I swear they are all different palm trees!) and different beaches we visited. The first photo is from the Paradise Cove Luau we went to. I actually got up on stage and "learned" to hula. Big quotations on the learned. Actually, the second photo is from the Luau as well. Paradise Cove was a great experience and it was recommend to us by a lot of different people that said this was the best Luau on Oahu. It's the only Luau I have ever seen so it was pretty good in my books... Enjoy!
-The show Cougar Town was being filmed outside our "beach cottage" when we got to Turtle Bay, so I decided to set-up shop in my hammock and be a creepy tourist for the rest of the day. P.S. It's only been a few weeks but I'm getting close to a thousand views on my site, but I have only ever had one comment... let me know what you think of my site, posts and/or photos and don't worry I won't get angry if it's mean or negative :P I love constructive criticism!
hawaii preview
We got back from Hawaii Saturday night and I still have no clue where to start with all the photos taken. I would really just like to put up all of them, but there's over a thousand of pictures so that won't be happening. I picked out a few from the first couple days of our trip and posted them below. I'll of course be posting more as I go through them during the week. I will also put up a full recap of the trip to go along with all the of pictures.
I'll just say that if you have yet to visit Hawaii... well go. It's a very beautiful place. We stayed on the island of Oahu for eight days, which was way too short of a stay, and as soon as we started getting comfortable with all the warm hospitality and tropic weather we were on a plane back to San Diego.
Enjoy!
