La Jolla Cove

I went out today and finally tested my new filters! I noticed on my bike ride along the beach today that there were some clouds rolling in, just in time for sunset, and that's exactly what I was hoping for. I went home, grabbed my gear, and headed over to my favorite place in San Diego; La Jolla Cove. By the time the sun set the clouds were almost non-existent, but I was still pleased with the end result.
After spending a few hours with the filters, my only regret is not purchasing them FOUR YEARS AGO when I first started drooling over what these filters could do for me.
Hawaii is less than two weeks away and I'm not sure what I'm more excited about now. It was snorkeling everyday but I think using my filters as much as possible has now topped it. Oh, of course being on vacation with Laura is number one... what was I thinking...
I took so many keepers today that I had trouble deciding what pictures to post. That's why there are four photos below that basically look the same... I just couldn't decide! I'm sure I'll be posting more of what looks like the same pictures over the next week, but I promise that they are all different in some way.
I also finally decided to post my site on Twitter and Facebook, so to everyone viewing this for the first time... I apologize in advance for the bad writing and grammar. I'm sure (hoping) my writing will get better as I continue posting new entries. It's definitely not my strongest quality but hopefully the pictures I post make up for that.

Finally!

Below is a photo of what arrived at my doorstep today! Yes that is Lee's graduated neutral density soft filter set. I've had my eye on these for a few years now and FINALLY clicked 'submit order' instead of continuously adding them to my cart then putting them back into my wishlist. They got here just in time for my trip to Hawaii! I still don't have the foundation kit and adapter to attach to my camera, since those are still backordered, but I'll be happy to hold the filters until those come... let's just hope I don't drop 'em

I'm patient with LEE as a company because looking at their history and also the way they make their filters, it's obvious that most of their products are made-to-order. Here's a little YouTube clip to give you some more info on how these filters are actually made... by hand! How it's made

I head to Hawaii on the 26th, for 8 days, with Laura so you should see a barrage of tropical landscape photos following the trip.

Burgess Wedding

Located on Lake Erie, Matt & Lisa's wedding was a nice personal wedding with a few family members and close friends. Living in Buffalo at the time they thought Lake Erie was a great spot to tie-the-knot and who could blame them. Matt is a childhood friend of mine and I was happy to help them out with taking photos when asked. This wedding actually happened a few years back and since then both Matt & Lisa have moved down to Florida where Matt is working in the service.
About a month ago, Matt's sister, Melissa e-mailed me to see if I still had the photo's around since she wanted to print a few out for when Matt gets back from serving oversea's in May. I was excited and jumped at the chance to go back and re-edit past photos. Below are a few recent edits and I will be adding more to the site over the weekend.
